Bristol Men's Group
Where do you meet?
We meet every 2 weeks in St Werburgh's Bristol UK. We usually meet outdoors with a fire. If the weather is bad we may meet in a hut on the same site which has a wood burning stove. Always come dressed for the weather.
We are also running open nights in Fishponds.
What happens at a meeting?
We start the circle at 7pm sharp and finish at 9:30pm. The group is a peer support group with tried and tested processes which include some indigenous ritual and Jungian psychology.
The night is structured around a set of “rounds”. Each round has a different process, for example the first round is a sharing round where every man has the opportunity to speak. There is very little unstructured time between 7 and 9.30pm as we run through the process. Even though it’s the “same” process every time, there is endless variety in experience. It’ll make most sense by being there. There is chance for chat before, during a short break, and after. Everything is by invitation, nothing is mandatory and the group is a confidential space.
How do I become a regular member?
All regular men at the group have completed the NWTA training weekend run by ManKind Project, also known as "The Adventure". Any man that has completed this training is welcome to contact us to join the group. For more information on this weekend training see mankindprojectuki.org/how-to-register
